Joe was the kind of colleague everyone hopes to work with, he was skilled, thoughtful, had a lovely sense of humour and he was unfailingly kind. He always had time to listen, to explain, and to support those around him. His engineering legacy lives on in the people he helped, passed his knowlege on to and the projects he shaped. He will be greatly missed and it was a privalage to have known him and to have worked with him.
