My first meeting with Fred was when I was at Kidd Farm Machinery: there was a dispute between Teagle and ourselves over a bale chopper patent.
Fred’s attention to the detail and his research into the background, including a trip to Denmark to find prior art was, as always, meticulous. All was resolved amicably and we continued to meet for many years after that on different industry matters and ideas.
He was someone with commitment to our industry, honesty and fairness, and would always give help and advice when asked. He will be sorely missed from the world of agricultural engineering, his friends and family.
