Having worked at Imperial myself for quite some years, I have known and interacted with Monty since when he first joined Imperial. He made you feel like there was time to stop for a chat despite him probably having a very busy workload; he always had a smile upon his face and a joke to share.

I had no idea that Monty was unwell, so when I heard the news I was deeply shocked and saddened. As many have already conveyed, Monty was an extraordinary character who was highly thought of and will be warmly remembered by all that knew and worked with him throughout Imperial.

Although it will be of no consolation in the loss of him to his family and friends, hopefully the words left by the many here will bring some comfort at this sad time.
