Ruth, it was a genuine pleasure working with you over the years. I learnt so much from you and so looked forward to our meetings. You were so generous with your time and never missed the opportunity to get involved in anything and everything and brought so much to the sector and to those of us lucky enough to know you. You were such a champion for disabled victims and survivors, and advocated so passionately and with so much grace and humanity – and humour! There was never a dull moment when you were around!
