The friend who always shone twice as brightly… Having known you since the early 1990s, I’ll miss those cheery phone calls… the invitations, the favour for a friend calls… your “family and friends” network included so many great and genuine friends and you managed it to the benefit of us all. I know of several members whose kids, including my own, got the life-changing career break they needed through you. This was just part of what immortalises you.
It was also your many other generous gestures that brought cheer into people’s lives… you made us all feel valued: the memorable fully funded parties in great venues, the meals with a small group of friends, the witty keepsake Computappoint calendars…
Your charities will miss you – a lot.
Your stoicism impressed, prevailing over hardships and real tests of character like no other. I’m just so glad everything was going well for you at the end; it’s the very least the world could have done in return for you, dear friend.
My world and the wider world are very much sadder places world for your passing.
