I heard from one of my colleague that Simon was passed away:(( That Was crazy. Having known him for 10 years, I was shocked when hearing that awful news. Anyone who knows Simon will always remember his kindness and friendliness. 

It must be very hard for his family. I would like take this opportunity to extend my condolences to his family, and all those who were very close to him. Simon was such a wonderful person and very generous in offering his advice and supports to other people. He is one of the best scientists that have I ever met. I felt very lucky that I was supervised by him during my Master and learned a lot from him. He was also a laidback person. I still remember the trips in Vietnam we took with Simon and the others, we all enjoyed it very much, however sadly there won’t be another like that.

We will all miss him.
