I was deeply saddened to hear of YuZhi’s passing.

We were colleagues at the University of Plymouth where we attempted to bridge the Statistics/Civil Engineering discipline gap with several research projects. We were colleagues again at Swansea University after we had both, independently, decided to move there and then met each other at a research seminar to the surprise of us both. We continued to collaborate on several PhD and Postdoc projects.

I have fond memories of her as a thoughtful and helpful colleague, with an ability to see past the strict limits of her chosen speciality.
