Professor Kopelman was a fantastic advocate for setting up the University of London Refugee Law Clinic, which has now been operating for over a year, providing legal advice and representation to some of the most marginalised individuals in our London community. Professor Kopelman’s infectious enthusiasm for engaging, intercollegiate and interdisciplinary work, combined with the conviction that the university should contribute in practical ways to supporting the most vulnerable, was a continual source of inspiration to me and to everyone involved in this project who met him. His support, wit and humour will be greatly missed. On behalf of the clinic staff, volunteers and beneficiaries, I would like to express our most sincere condolences to the Kopelman family.
