Nearly 20 years since our paths first crossed and it seems like no time at all. I’m still struggling to process this devastating news and still can’t believe it. 

With the footy season starting, I was doing my usual and hoping for the best for Wigan whilst also keeping a watchful eye on Spurs and thinking about you. Both teams are woeful at the moment unfortunately! 

I always enjoyed our regular chats, and working with you fairly closely over the years prior to my retirement was an absolute pleasure. You always had time, thought things through and nothing was ever too much trouble – they don’t make them like they used to! You’ve left a big hole, leaving us far too early. Lıfe just ısn’t faır sometimes and thıs ıs certainly one of those occasions. 

My deepest sympathy goes out to Jo, Lucy and Jake. I know your family meant the world to you, and rightly so. 

You will be sadly missed my friend, but never forgotten!
