Dear Jane and Anthony,
I knew Jeff for many years, first at Oxford Instruments, then Hitachi. He was my manager for several years, including during the transition between the two companies.
What struck me most about Jeff was his positive attitude. He always made time to listen and help, liked bouncing ideas and getting feedback, and generally had time for people. He was also very kind, patient, and had a great sense of humour. We had a few business trips together, and he was always great company. He was a role model, and I will miss him.
My sincere condolences, and my thoughts are with you in these difficult times.
