Paul was the kind of man that you feel better having known. It is a testament to his character that he so quickly became a trusted and relied upon true friend, whose departure from this world touched so many.

I had the enormous pleasure of working with Paul, and although we only got a short year together I have felt such an enormous sense of loss. Such was the greatness of his spirit and character. At a time when I was finding my feet he was always on hand to help, boosting my confidence and supporting me. He so freely shared his knowledge and saw the value in passing it on that he and I would often get together so that he could teach me things I wanted to learn about (even when it wasn’t really within my role!) He came into my life and gave me such great advice and encouragement that I know I am a better person for having known him. I know this is true for so many others who he came into contact with. He was so willing and caring in his support of people that you couldn’t help but feel better on days when he was around. 

He made time for people, was passionate about his work and truly cared about what he did and the people that his work supported. He was an example to us all and he will not be forgotten.
