Dan Pearson

Dan pioneered the way for Australian vets to work in Scotland in the poultry industry.   I knew him before I came to Scotland and I quickly strengthened our friendship. He was a gentleman, a rangga, a mate and a very good veterinarian.

We would catch up over the last 15 years since I left Aviagen at Murrayfield, Bangkok, USA and when he was an invited speaker to tell the Australian poultry vets what was happening where the action was.  I remember him coming to my farwell party in our Leith house – might have been the last to leave..

Dan graduated from University of Queensland and Tom Grimes taught him about poultry diseases.  in the end of third year he visited the Marshalls and meet Ken Kirkpatrick. Christine captured him and I never heard him talk of returning to Australia permanently.

Vale Dan – too soon.
