Steve was my first Sergeant on CIU in my post as DSI and immediately put me at ease, despite my first day nerves. With his laid-back, friendly attitude, he was a funny guy and the Brummie accent was familiar to me as I have family from Brum…….that along with his colourful language made for a lively shift! He had his staff and officers at his heart and always had your back. You’ll be missed Steve, My love goes out to your family & friends. Rest in Peace xx
