Kev introduced me to Cicerone after we had walked together in the Alps and Nepal, shared some beers, plenty of laughter and smart talk.

Kev was always there, helping when I got stuck in a writing problem. Visiting Min and Kev at their place I was welcomed and treated as a King (they insisted I should stay in their bedroom!). 

The mountains are losing a grandmaster, describing so many routes in the most inspiring ways possible. He is leaving behind an enormous amount of guidebooks, giving countless outdoor people motivation to walk and explore for many years to come. Will miss you Kev.
