Kamola Makhmudova
I met dear Kamola the last time in the IT area of the new office building and it was a big surprise for me as i thought she was away. so it was a very joyous occassion. Though i knew a little about her illness i was not sure, but we didnt talk about that and neither did she bring it up. Knowing her i guess it was typical of her. We talked of other happy things when she was in OAD ( banking services) and our going out for lunch to the Lahore Kebab House, which she loved ( before she turned vegetarian :)) . Once at one of our retreats, i thought i had lost my keys and was worried about them and she kept asking me to look in my pockets etc which i did, and finally found them to my happiness and her joy. since then every time we met, her first greeting after how i was keeping, would be , Keys? and we would laugh and i would say yes i have them. i remember that we were late returning from the retreat and she was worried about the children, perhaps returning from school, and calling home contantly to check, like a loving mom that she definitely was.
she was always so cheerful and i never saw her getting angry or look sad, her cheerful demeanour was infectious and she was loved and liked by all her colleagues, always helpful and ready to lend a helping hand.
one of the nicest comments on my retirement on the intranet was from Kamola, i shall never forget the lovely words she wrote.
ill miss her happy presence and i pray she rests in peace and that her family can take comfort in the knowledge how good she was and so well loved.
Rest in Peace
