Kim Negus

To Kim, my beautiful, funny, crazy work Mumma! I still remember coming into PPU as a 24 year old girl, not knowing anyone and never having worked with the police before.. Saj invited me to the Christmas party that week as someone had dropped out. You weren’t particularly impressed by this, I later found out, as I was not yet in the circle of trust! I came along, completely unaware, but after a few too many… we were best mates and I was well and truly in the circle. We have so many funny memories of our time in PPU, we were such a close unit and we got each other through some difficult times. I really valued our special friendship, as you called me your work daughter and you were my work Mumma. You looked out for me and offered support during a tricky time in my life, took me out into the sofa area and gave me a shoulder to cry on and a good talking to! I will forever be grateful for having you in my life and that you allowed me into the circle. You were the life and soul of the party and didn’t care what anyone thought, definitely something I have learned from you, to live life how you want and not to feel the need to conform. You are one of a kind, your star will continue to shine bright through all the amazing memories you have left behind in those you loved and who love you. You will never be forgotten and those memories will always be cherished. Love Ayesha xx
