With sadness we learnt that Manfredi’ passed away. Manfredi built up IMEO with his extrordinary commitment and ensured its further development with foresight. DLR had the opportunity to be involved in IMEO at an early stage, together we already realized several airborne studies in important methane sources regions worldwide. We are also helping to develop the systematic use of EnMAP data for IMEO. Our thoughts and condolences are with Manfredi’s family and friends, to whom we wish much strength and fortitude for the time ahead.
