I had the pleasure of knowing Jonathan for 10 years. Entering the teaching profession as a quiet NQT, who didn’t quite believe in herself. Jonathan had a way of making people feel at ease and this was certainly my experience. He went out of his way to always ask how my parents were and whether I had been back to Leeds recently. Quick witted, thoughtful and passionate are words that come to mind. An extraordinary leader, who thought outside the box. Jonathan, you’ve left far too soon, but what a legacy you have left behind. Whenever I hear Sinatra sing ‘My Way’, I’ll always remember you. Amy x
