I am so very sorry to learn of Stephen’s passing. I worked with him since 2021 when I moved from UKSA to CAA with the formation of the the new Space Regulator. Stephen never failed to respond promptly to my many queries and he was always happy to explain his thinking. Never shying away from difficult conversations, he was a often key support in both internal and external meetings. 

Most of all I will miss his dry sense of humour and witty one-line responses. My thoughts are with Stephen’s family and friends at this time.
