A Book of Remembrance

Bolanle (2)

Olori Bolanle Aworetan - Omojuwa Kayode

Sister Bola, you were such a lovely easy-going person. A mother, a sister, a wife, a friend, a sister in-law, a daughter, a shoulder to rely on and an epitome of love. You worked sacrificially to secure better life for your children and family, you appreciated and celebrated each day as a gift from God, and you served God, your creator passionately.

Your sudden death at such an early age was a tragedy and a great loss to your children, husband, your siblings, your extended family, church family and your loved ones that you left behind, and it is still extremely hard to accept that you have gone.

But thank goodness for the hope that we have in Christ Jesus that we shall all meet again one day at His feet.

So beloved sister, rest on in the bosom of the Lord Jesus till we meet again. Your legacy lives on. We love you, but Jesus loves you most.

The Children

Yesterday I was asked to describe my mother in one word. I had said cheerful but the truth is there is an endless list of words I could use to describe her. She is kind, she would do everything out of love . She is determined, strong , fair , and was the epitome of who a mother should be. To find someone that could replace her is almost impossible, she is one of those people that you meet once in a lifetime. She was a woman of God , who loved her family wholeheartedly and gave us everything she had. There are various stories that circulated around my mum’s passing however it isn’t my burden to rectify wrong speculation or theories in exactly what took place although one thing you all must know is that she fought to hold on to the very end for our sake. When our time comes knocking our loved ones are not always ready but God knows best . My mother led a good life, knowing how to have fun, stay focused and how to live God and she led by example for her family and friends. She lived her true self unapologetically …

Ewabola my Sunflower, that is what I call you. A Sunflower indeed that brightens the life of everyone that comes in contact with her. From when we first met in Ado Ekiti in 1995 till your demise, you have been nothing short of a darlyn. Ewabola mi, when the bible said in Pro 17:17 that a friend loves at all times, it was referring to you. You were such a dear friend, a kind hearted fellow who wouldn’t mind giving herself for others and a committed mother you were to your children.  May your beautiful soul find rest in the Lord.
