My sincere condolences to all the Familee. I first saw Mallorca back in the early 90’s at the Metro and instantly loved his music and energy. I have many happy memories from those days. Tekno Junkies has always been my favourite album and helped me pick myself up when down many times. Taken far too soon.     …

I only met mallorca once personally. I was obviously aware of his music but i knew him from the hashtag show. I was walking down buchanan Street and I saw him talking on the phone. I wasn’t sure it was him till I overheard him say “I also have a comedy podcast”. I circled back still unsure whether to say hi. I’m glad I did. We had some small talk and he asked me what I was up to. I told him I was killing time till I met my partner and we were going for our first scan for our now 3 year old.  He walked with me right down from St Vincent Street, along argyll Street and we parted ways at the 4 corners. He gave me some pointers on becoming a dad and how great it is and we talked about the podcast and the next live show.  He didn’t need to do any of that. He didn’t need to take time out of his day to talk to some guy he had never met, but it just goes to show what kind of person mallorca was.  He was a gem of a guy and its…

I’m proud to say that I’m part of the 1994 family – the 90s raves were the most amazing years of my life and I’m so happy to have been part of that era.  Annihilating rhythm was one of the first songs I ever heard blasting out of someone’s tape deck in their car. I had to get my hands on a copy! It still is one of my favourite tunes that brings back so many memories. Public Domain are also another favourite on my playlist. I still play all my old rave tapes in the car when I’m driving. I loved Mallorca’s voice on all the tracks and saw Ultrasonic play live in Forres, Moray back in the day. They were one of a kind. I’ll always remember Mallorca and Ultrasonic when I hear his songs play.  You were taken far too soon Mallorca, but your spirit lives on. Thank you for the good vibes xx…

Mallorca I only met you just the once back in September 2019 when you were headlining a gig in Dublin we got talking backstage about all things oldskool it felt like we knew each other for years so much so you invited me over to your 1994 gig and told me that my name would be on the guest list and that you would look after me ❤️ that was  your nature to treat people with respect and make time for people ❤️ Mallorca you made such an impact on me that night I started to play my vinyl after years of it gathering dust I thank you for that. What I’m trying to say to whoever reads this is Mallorca is a man that leaves everlasting impressions on people’s souls and I thank you for that Mallorca.  To Mallorca’s family thankyou for sharing Mallorca his music and his love that he showed his oldskook family ❤️❤️#1994Knockingonheavensdoor  …

Mal you will never be forgotten mate. Your music and mad videos helped me through a lot. You were larger than life. Will never forget the day we tried to meet up so I could give you the painting I done. I hadn’t even finished it. Both in the same park and still couldn’t find each other. Decided B&Q was the best option. Out of sight but never out of mind 💙…

I was so gutted to hear about Mallorca Lee’s diagnosis and then leaving us way too soon… Ultra-Sonic was everything to me in my teenage years. Got to relive my youth seeing him at a TTF gig playing some Ultra-Sonic and Public Domain. Then as Ultra-Sonic at ‘The Source’, and a few ‘1994’ gigs. Even got to meet this absolute legend at a 1994 gig! I was a bit giddy and told him he was my music hero when I was at high school. He said “Thanks… now I feel old!” 😂 All my thoughts to his beautiful family and friends. 💔😢 His music will definitely live on.  Rest in Peace, Mall and keep on raving up there with your Global Tekno! 🎶 🎧 #HardcoreWillNeverDie…

What can I say? I was 15 the first to ime I heard you and and fell in love with your music straight away . My hero since I was a teenager, I had the pleasure of meeting you in 95 at the fubar and you spoke to me like a friend. They broke the mould when they made you Mall. You will never be forgotten….

When The Rhythm Was Annihilated It was in the year of ‘94 and the sea air reeked of hopeWith baggy jeans and moppy hair blasting Ultrasonic on Stevenston Slope We danced until the morning then we danced a little moreAn attitude that would lift your mood we had fire in our core The freedom we’d invented became a lifestyle so uniqueA decade long remembered for mankind had reached its peak From Thursday through to Monday we’d be out there on the townNo sleep it was required we were never coming down Then the rhythm got annihilated, the 1210’s they stopped to spinThe chief hung up his headphones, he’d faded out the din Obsession vocals bring a final rush like they often did beforeEuphorias coming in the Air tonight cause we’re U.S to the core The bass lines they’re now muted no more hands are in the airThe nightclubs now in mourning a movement in despair No more baggy clothing the mopped hair a long time croppedEuphoric, hazy and surreal memories on the day the music stopped. Thanks for the memories Mallorca x Eddie Clarke…
