DC was such a nice person, they just don’t make people like him anymore. He had every email that was ever written and knew how to find the relevant one in a flash, as a supplier I could never pull the wool over his eyes. Naturally I was shocked to hear the news and feel for his family, who he adored. One only had to be at the HKDC 25th anniversary to see what people thought of him. RIP mate.   Craig Wootten  …

I met DC in 1997 when I started to work for HKDC/Royale. He was one of my mentors and I learned a lot about the courier and logistics business with him. Even though we have not been in contact for several years, early in 2021 we exchanged an email as I became friends with his wife on Facebook. DC will always be remembered as a great gentleman, I remember him as a friend, colleague at work and a teacher. At times it was annoying listening to his attention to detail but it was all well worth it! My friend we are eternal beings and you are always present inside the ones that know and love you. Have an awesome journey in the eternal realm!  Loves always! …

I have known DC for a long time and hearing this news came as such a terrible shock when I was called. I would like to remember DC as I first got to know him, enjoying a good curry with a beer in hand and having a great laugh with friends as he really was one of the good ones. RIP my old friend. Deepest condolences to Birgitta and family. Love Mark & Julie. …

I’m feeling sad to hear of the passing of DC. I know DC at HKDC when there are only around 15 headcounts as a mail delivery guy. DC was my direct superior when HKDC started Choice Logistics. DC have a kind-hearted boss, transforming our mistakes into valuable lessons, and his leadership have made us more productive.Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts, REST IN PEACE!…

It was with great sadness to hear of the passing of DC. My deepest condolences and strength to his family. He was a true gentleman and one of the nicest people you could ever meet. DC was the one who made me feel welcome and showed me around on my first day at HKDC back in 2004. He was pleasure to work with and he always willing to find the time and the patience to help anyone.  He will be greatly missed. REST IN PEACE DC….

I am sorry and sad to hear DC suddenly left us. My deepest condolences to DC’s family.I still remember that DC had hand draft a Shanghai airport floor plan for my first handcarry job (in the Kennedy Town era…). And, he shared all details he knows with me. His patience really set this little girl at ease on her first trip to SHA. There are too many good memories of when we were working in Kennedy Town. I will not forget your smiles and kindness. Thank you and goodbye. Rest in peace….

It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of DC.  He was one of the good ones – a true gentleman and an exceptional human being. He will be sadly missed. And wherever he is now, let us hope he is happy.  God bless you, DC.  REST IN PEACE.  …

DC was my trainer and mentor when I first joined HKDC back in 2001. Whilst most of what he told me went in one ear and out the other, the one thing that struck a chord with me was how passionate he was about his work. He could wax lyrical about a MAWB and make an import license seem like a thing of beauty! His enthusiasm was undeniable and I thank him for all he taught me. He was never too busy to talk or help and I recall many occasions on the old 8th floor of the Kennedy Town office where he would gladly offer his time to chat with me and impart his wisdom.  My last time to see DC was at the company 25th anniversary dinner where his appearance quite rightly brought the house down! A standing ovation closely followed by floods of tears from many, myself included. It was an absolutely brilliant moment and fitting for one of the original gang. A gentle giant with a huge heart. He will be sorely missed by all.  …

DC’s passing is a great loss to all of the HKDC / Royale International family, one of the original HKDC crew and a true gentleman. Expert guide to the curry houses of Chungking Mansions, and an endlessly patient explainer of logistics minutae when asked.  I’m very glad to have had to the chance to see him one last time in HKG at the 25 anniversary dinner, he will be much missed by all who knew him.  …

DC was a true gentleman who took the time to truly take an interest in whoever he was conversing with. Asides from meeting DC a couple of times in Hong Kong, the majority of our interactions were on the phone and about work. Yet he always made you feel important and special. Softly spoken, what sticks mostly to mind is how proud he was of his daughter whose Mandarin was “fantastic”. I miss our calls, DC. Rest in peace. Trav. …
