In Memory of

Adam Kerrison

Adam joined the CPS as an administrative assistant in the Magistrates Court team based in Haldin House, Norwich on 5 November 2001.

Over his twenty years of service he worked on variety of different teams including Crown Court and Charging gaining extensive knowledge and experience along the way.

In March 2020 he fulfilled his career goal of becoming the Casework Administration Manager within the area’s Magistrates Court Team.

Adam will be remembered as a particularly caring manager who provided huge support for his team; especially as we adjusted to the changes to our way of working last year.

Adam would always be willing to pick up the many work challenges which came his way and he just seemed to ‘get things done’.   He deputised for the District Business Manager on several occasions and took on the role with his usual efficient and enthusiastic manner and really enjoyed the experience.  Adam was always the same – always on a level with a dry sense of humour – he was liked and respected by many and will be missed by us all.  Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

My thoughts are with you Jo and Holly at this difficult time.  Adam had been part of CPS for many years and I remember when he first joined the Norfolk office.  More recently (March 2020), we were so happy to welcome him into the magistrates court team and it was clear that he was eager to take on his new role. The support he provided to me and his team was constant and I know this made the lives of others easier during the last year or so.  I always thought how strong and brave he was dealing with the ups and downs of his illness and even in the latter weeks, he was still finding motivation and positivity.  I wish you the strength you need to deal with your loss and in time, I hope your memories will help you begin to heal.  With lots of love to you both Anna (Bartrum)…

Adam will be greatly missed. He was patient kind and had so much knowledge of CPS systems and always willing to help. He helped me so much in my new role of Paralegal Officer. He joined CPS just a couple of months after I did. I remember his first day at Haldin House. He fought his illness with dignity and when he came back to work we all had high hopes for him. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be I am so sorry for your loss Jo and Holly you meant so much to him his face always lit up when he spoke about you and the rest of his family. He was a true family man you were his life. I remember when he used to bring Holly into work when she was little so proud of her he was.  Love to all the family at this sad time   Julie Shaw    …

Adam will be missed by many at the CPS.  He was always willing to help if I had a problem when learning to upload information onto the system; it was all new to me at the time.  Adam was never flustered and took everything in his stride.  I am so sorry for your loss at this difficult time and hope you can take some comfort from the fact that he was liked by so many people.  …

Dear Jo and Hollie, I am so saddened by your loss. I joined roughly the same time as Adam and got to know him over the years and worked alongside him on numerous teams as our paths crossed. I’ll always remember him for his love of country music, something which he would talk about with passion and something I never quite understood, not being a fan. He used to recount his earlier life when he travelled to the States and some of his antics there. He also used to talk fondly of when he met you and his days at the Theatre Royal and his brushings with the odd grumpy celebrity.  My main memory of Adam will be his laid back approach to life, the way he was fair to everyone. And the way he took great pride in his work, whatever that was. He was a patient man who had time for everyone, although he would also occassionally tell you what he thought as well to keep you on your toes.  He held you and Hollie close to his heart for all the time I knew him. So, so sorry. It is far too early to lose someone…

My heartfelt sorrow and sympathy extends to Adam’s family for their tragic loss. A friend as well as a former manager to many, myself included – he was always quick to comfort and support others with their problems, both personal and professional, despite the mammoth trauma he was undergoing himself. He was a fighter to the end and I will always admire the strength and positivity he showed throughout everything he faced. Rest in Peace, Adam, you will be missed.  …

During the brief time I was managed by Adam I quickly realised that he was a credit to the CPS and our team. He always seemed to find an answer for those tricky questions that we all struggled with and had a great sense of humour. His knowledge and experience was clear in all he did and his support as a manager was really valued by the team. His attitude towards life was truly admirable. I’m so very sorry for your loss and thinking of your family at this difficult time, please accept my sincere condolences. …
