Thinking of all of Darren’s family and friends at this time, such a sad loss.  I worked with Darren when he was the Head of Online and I will always remember him gathering up our small Implementation Team and introducing himself, not as Sainsbury’s Darren but as Darren, sharing photos of his lovely family and his dog and talking about how proud he was of his family, before even getting into his Sainsburys life and career.  Never before then and very few times since have I seen that personal touch.  Our paths have crossed a couple of times since then on different projects, and we have bumped into each other at Holborn where he would always greet you with a hug and a “how are you”.  One of the good ones, taken too soon.
