I was utterly inspired by Mr Fell from the age of thirteen when I first attended his clinics. Although I didn’t comprehend any of the science he was teaching to the sixth form students, the passion he demonstrated for his subject was fascinating. Now being in sixth form myself, I have developed a great love for Chemistry. I have also gained valuable life lessons from his teachings. He showed great kindness yet always worked to enhance the potential he saw in all his students. Mr Fell was certainly a man of excellence. I will never forget the stories he would tell the class about his adventures and the jokes that he’d make. He exuded joy and excitement wherever he went as he brought happiness to those around him. His strong work ethic set an example for all his students. The chemistry class (the ‘divas’ as he’d call us) is missing him very much, and all the cakes and chocolates too. Mr Fell was, and still is, my role model whom I look up to. I will always remember and hold him close to my heart. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.
