As a registrar and later as a consultant colleague, Betania was always someone I could turn to. Whenever one approached her to report or seek her opinion, she would say, ‘Let’s do it.’ She was always generous with her time and gave honest opinions. Beyond professional life, I have enjoyed going for walks, taking long drives, and having dinner with her. Although life took a challenging turn over the last five years, whenever we chatted, it went on for hours. I could talk to Betania about anything and everything – sometimes about life, and other times about various departmental gossip. Talking about Luisa was one thing which always brought a sparkle to her eyes. You will always be part of my memories and will be deeply missed.
