Dr. Paul Stanley

1000207970

It’s been incredibly difficult to find the right words to express what Paul meant to me, and just how deeply personal this loss is. Though our paths first crossed in a professional setting, Paul quickly became much more than a colleague or a boss. He became family.

He believed in me, often more than I believed in myself. As a mentor, he guided me. As a leader, he inspired me. As a friend, he stood by me. But above all, Paul was simply a beautiful human being, kind, thoughtful, and genuinely good in everything he did.

What always touched me was the special bond he shared with my 6-year-old daughter. Every time he visited Mumbai, he made it a point to see her. Despite being one of the busiest people I’ve known, he somehow always found time for everyone.

Our last conversation, just three days before he passed, will forever stay with me. He called to offer condolences for the loss of my mother-in-law. In that moment of my grief, he reminded me gently, “No matter what, you have to carry on for the family, for those who are left behind.” Even in his last conversation with me, Paul was teaching me how to live with grace and purpose.

I carry those words with me now. I will keep going for him, and I will do everything I can to see through his ambitious vision for Achilles.

Paul will be missed deeply, not just by me, but by every member of my family. His guidance, his warmth, and his belief in people will always stay with me.
