Dear Mark

It was not meant to be like this my friend. We had too many laughs, too many moments of magic, too many great discussions about work, too many glasses of wine, just too many…for you to go so soon. I remember being at an airport waiting in a group for our bags, joking about how you knew everybody, literally everybody, and out of nowhere, across the terminal came someone you had not seen in 10 years, greeting you as a long lost friend. That’s was the point about you Mark, nobody forgot you, everyone remembered you and fondly. Your teams liked working for you, clients listened intently to you, and many of us, loved you dearly. When we look back on our lives and say who made a difference for us, you will be on all our lists. And although your innings was nowhere near as long as it deserved to be, a poor LBW decision sending you back to the pavillion, my you hit some shots, and played with style, and for that you have left a wonderful legacy.
