My deepest condolences go out to Manfredi’s families and friends. I only had the honor to know him for a brief period but I don’t think we would have picked up the issue of methane the way we did if it hadn’t been for Manfredi.

Manfredi not only got us really interested in IMEO but he convinced us that we need to be pragmatic and realistic of the global trajectory and that there is no space for optimism on fossil methane. And in this bleak outlook on the future – Manfredi was a beacon of hope that there are still inspiring people left to turn things around.

Manfredi was the type of guy who looked eye to eye with people and didn’t let hierarchy get in the way of being personal and friendly to one another. He would sometimes call out of the blue and I can say that every phone call was a pleasure and took far longer than I believed he had time for. I miss his guidance on our work and I’m still looking at our last WhatsApp and … I miss that I can no longer text him for advice.
