It was with shock and sadness that I heard the news that we have lost David. We worked together many years ago in Janssen Animal Health, when he joined us as a Technical Service Veterinarian. I have many fond memories of not only working with David and benefiting from his knowledge and expertise during that time, but enjoying many social events as well. Laughter was never far away and we shared (and often reshared) some great stories over a pint or two. I was aware much later that David had struggled with his mental health at periods over the years and I had great admiration for how he not only took on the challenge personally, but made it his focus to also help and support others.

It’s a few years since we worked closely together but as is normal in this industry, we would run into each other occasionally. It’s an awful shame that won’t happen again and David’s leaving is a great loss to us all. I can’t begin to imagine the impact this is having on those closest to him and I am sure all our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. 

RIP David. A true gentleman. The world was a better place with you.
