My wife Karen and I are so saddened to learn or George’s passing.  We served at the International School of Geneva and were inspired by his kindness, intellect (with never a hint of smugness), warm, quick wit and genuine inretest in the well-being of his colleagues. His stories kept all engaged, delivered with such eloquence. I also had the benefit of learning from George as a student at the University of Bath.  Over the years we kept in touch, and he always had the time and grace to respond to my emails.  Early in my time in Geneva, when I was considering a career switch, it was George’s words and inspiration which rekindled my love of schools. I’m so grateful to have spent time in his presence. May he rest in peace and have some sense of size of our admiration for him.
