Derek was one of the most welcoming and supportive colleagues I have worked with. He brought an enthusiasm and great wit with him to work which was appreciated and enjoyed by everyone.

From working in his team I found him to be open, trusting and above all, kind. I know his contributions to the team have allowed us to grow not just as a team but as individuals and I am so grateful to him for this. He will be missed by all.
