Theresa O'Donnell

Where to start?  So many happy memories, and so many stories.  From the very first moment we spoke (at one of Mike’s fireworks parties), you never changed, and that was what made you loved and admired by everyone who knew you.  I always remember when you came for interview for your first Client Relationship Manager job.  I asked you what things you thought you would need to know to be good at your job – I was thinking commercial rates, client strategic goals, how to maximise influencing skils etc.  Instead, you said how you would need to understand how your laptop worked!!  But there was a spark there, a truly endearing quality that I knew would appeal to our clients, and you got the job.  From that moment on, while you grew as a person, you were still the same Theresa.  I watched you grow into that role, sometimes at very close quarters when you were showing a very senior leader at one of our clients how Snapchat worked, leading to an infamous photo at the PAM Awards!!  Oh the memories….talking through your career options at 2am in the morning…..having a burger and chips in Bishopsgate at 4am in the morning…..and you never stopped being you.  Bubbly, considerate, proud of your heritage, proud of not knowing what everyone else in the room knew, professional, elegant, poised, and a light that shone so bright.  And occasionally we talked about work from time to time, but not very much as you were always in control and could be trusted to do the right thing.  That’s why you were an obvious pick for employee of the year.  But you were much, much more than a work colleague.  You were one of a kind, and I am so lucky to have known you.
