I began my career as a paralegal at McGrigors in 2012, working directly with Michael and our Russian-speaking team on some of the coolest High Court cases of the time. On my very first day, I met Michael – his incredible character was immediately apparent as he audibly battled his stapler and navigated the usual IT conundrums with vigour only he could bring to such a task! I remember thinking right then that I was going to absolutely love working there and with this funny and genuine man. 

Michael’s journey in life and in law was truly inspirational. He was a one-of-a-kind character, a brilliant mind, and a kind heart who always made time for the juniors. I feel honoured to have launched my career under his guidance and to have experienced the special friendship and camaraderie he fostered within our team.It is hard to believe he is gone, and that we will not have the chance to meet again, reminisce, and laugh about the good old days. My deepest condolences to his family. Rest in peace, Michael – you will be greatly missed.
