What a tragic and sad loss the untimely passing of Helen is.

So many fond memories over the past 20 years. 

Helen has left a vacuum which will be very difficult fo fill. Helen was unique and irreplazable in so many ways.

Her softly spoken nature make such a contrast with her energy, enthusiam and the weight of her knowledge, views and advice.

She had a very sharp (and naughty) sense of humor. She was fun to be around. 

A great loss for her family, her other Defra family and beyond. 

She was an exceptional professional and still a better person. She shared selflessly all her knowledge and her advice was (almost) never wrong.

She was a true mentor for many years and for many of us. It feels surreal accepting that she’s no longer with us and knowing that we won’t be able to speak to her again and show more our appreciation for her as a professional and as a person. 

Wherever you are, thanks for so many years of friendship and professional journey together. 

You are sorely missed, Amiga!
