I offer my deep condolences to all the family and friends of John, such a fine man.  I spent many a moment around the tea point, coffee shop or just in the corridor talking cycling, and his amazing racing history.  We talked modern racers, old racers, kit  – as you do.  He was a key member of our techncial teams, but perhaps more importantly a key figure in the culutre of Woodcote Grove, KT18 5BW, a place I was pleased to spend time with him.
