Liam Oliver

Working with Liam was an absolute blast. A short time after joining OCCG as a temp in 2019, he asked me if I was planning to stay, as he thought I should, even though I was a cat person, rather than a dog person! Liam called me the responsible adult of our team of three (when Alice worked with us), and when we became a duo, and it was always a standing joke between us. There are so many stories I could write about how Liam could manage to weave in a Star Wars or Arsenal quote during every meeting or conversation we had. He even let me get away with the fact that I preferred Star Trek to Star Wars, although I’m sure he was just humouring me.

His memory of sporting achievements and history was something to be admired (and be envious of) and he was so supportive to me during our time working together. We were like minded in terms of humour, so considered ourselves partners in mischief, so I miss those ‘what could possibly go wrong’ conversations, the laughter and his greeting of ‘What-Ho Jones!’

He was a true Legend and will be missed by all who knew or worked with him. My heart goes out to Connie and Liam’s family.

May the Force be with you Liam, always.
