Pat was a most kind, generous and friendly person and someone I could turn to for guidance and advice when I first arrived at WGHS. She helped me settle into the school and remained a good friend and colleague for many years. We even retired together on the same day some 30 years later. Pat often joked about how many hours to the next holiday, but we all knew she loved every minute of teaching and was totally devoted to her students. Pat was the ‘miracle lady’ who overcame cancer due to sheer determination and love of life. We will all really miss that beaming smile and wicked sense of humour as well as her loyal and genuine friendship.
