Will Skinner
I met Will just on March 12th at a networking event. We exchanged business cards and quickly he was willing to help a friend of mine who was seeking a new role.
He had learned about our NPO and the very next day reached out to us to meet and have lunch on March 22nd. That evening we had planned a Gala and he said he had a conflicting arrangement but was looking forward to the lunch all the same.
He also contacted a friend who was also at the networking event and congratulated him on a new role he had received an offer on.
He immediately contacted me and arranged a meeting with my friend who had a meeting with him scheduled.
At the same time, he had reached out to the facilitator of the networking event to report that in response to what was suggested in the discussion that night, we write down 100 things we LOVE, not just like. And this will help us focus on our true passion. He explained to the facilitator that he was almost done with his list and looked forward to discussing it the next time they had lunch.
As I sat alone at our lunch date on 22nd March, I reflected on all of this ENERGY that burst from this young man….over what I know now was the last three days of his life. 72 Hours…
Life is fragile. There is an almost invisible golden thread between being here and not. The only thing that one cannot ignore is the energy and the depth of experiences with one can go deeper than the length of our lives.
I knew him for three days but will remember him for much much longer.
