Michael Fenn
It has been a privilege to have known and worked with Michael in the Pinsent Masons litigation team since 2012. He was, throughout, a mixture of amazing qualities. He was incisive and tactically brilliant – if I had my own case, and had to choose any litigator I knew to run it, I would have chosen Michael; he had an unerring knack of knowing the best course of action, and of telling you within seconds. I have already, on several occasions, looked at a problem and asked myself “what would Michael do?”. He was supportive of others and he cared for them – professionally, he would look to develop, nurture and help his team and colleagues, and he was willing to give them a chance to shine and to trust them to deliver. Personally, he would look to support others and his team. He was generous, hosting his own Christmas parties for his team for many years, and he would stand up for what he believed in (which was always to do the right thing). He was entrepreneurial, he was completely authentic in who he was, and he was a lot of fun. He was, in short, a wonderful person. He is missed hugely by all of us at Pinsent Masons, and the flood of tributes from across the legal market show the depth of feeling that so many people had for him. I send my deepest condolences and sympathies to his family and friends.
