From the moment John started at Atkins it was clear he was a huge character who was well liked by all those who ever worked with him. His attention to detail was exemplary, a true professional and someone who knew what he was talking about. When John spoke people listened. His knowledge was widely respected across the company and beyond. I will never forget his most famous of sayings if reviewing a not so up to scratch BEMS spec “they’ll run a bus through that” a testament to his admirable insistence on doing the job right. On a personal level if John knew of an issue you may have, he would always try to help you and was always very supportive and someone I looked up to. Rest in peace John. You will be missed.
