It is desperately sad to hear of the passing of Wayne.  He was a strong leader within construction, promoting fairness, service and common sense in an industry where there are few leaders of his capacity and willingness to be counted on the issues that mattered to him.  I met Wayne twice; on both occasions we discussed what was needed within the sector, focusing on customer service and continuous improvements within our projects and our businesses. He was keen that we use our collective muscle to make a difference for the better.

On behalf of the National Federation of Builders, I pass our condolensces to both his personal family and his broader family within the NASC and hope that we can all honour his memory of professionalism and integrity.  There is much to do and we will all be poorer for his passing!
