I worked at Waltham with Richard for over 25 years and from the moment I joined the team his ability to connect with people across the whole team was so evident. He was really approachable, friendly and had a zest for life. We often connected over the years as parents, sharing our stories as out children went through the teenage years and beyond. In particular Richard was a great support to me when my son was diagnosed with T1 Diabetes. As his daughter was also T1 we were able to share our hopes and fears. He was so proud of how well his daughter Eliza managed her condition and lit up when talking about all three of his children. My thoughts and prayers are with them now and his wife Sarah and I hope the joy he brought them in life may continue to shine, always. I am glad that my path crossed with such a special man.
