It’s rare to meet someone who genuinely connects with everyone and has a hugely positive impact on the lives of many.  Rob was such a person and I’m very lucky to have known him and count him as a friend and mentor. He had time for everyone – the fast and slow, the confident and quiet – and tirelessly supported all in the club with our goals, tailoring training programs to suit the individual. As a coach he had the perfect mix of empathy and authority and got us all believing in ourselves and performing to our best. He is in all our significant race photos and memories, and will forever be in our heads and hearts encouraging us whenever we run.
