We were recruited to St George’s, University of London, by Peter Kopelman as Principal, and colleagues.  In our travels in academic medicine we have seldom met a colleague of greater charm, intelligence, wisdom, and integrity; always a ready smile and always encouraging.  In turbulent times, Sue and Peter were very supportive of us and we will never forget Peter’s practical and moral support.  Sadly, London and UK academic medicine have lost a fine example of what a leader can and should be, and we will model ourselves on his example.  Our thoughts and prayers go to Sue and family at this time.
