For several years, working on The Archers, I only knew Louise as a reassuring presence in the box on the other side of the glass. But then, on one of those famous Archers cruises, I discovered this wonderfully fun companion, a woman who was a complete mistress of her craft, a fund of anecdotes and shrewd observations, simply a joy to be around. Full of life – and that’s how I will remember her.
