George was someone I met during his time at Lucas, I was a young H&S manager keen for support and advice, during the mid 90’s, George became that mentor and how grateful I was. He seemed to always give his time to the cause and never too busy to help, even though I knew his work load was enormous. Not long after he left Lucas I did too, only to meet again at the BHSEA meetings in Edgbaston, 16 years later, As an older man I was able to thank George properly for his amazing support back in the day. We then went on the become firm friends again. George you will be greatly missed especially the sence of humour your industriousness and calm.
