It was refreshing to work with John, someone with such a passion for building energy management systems and engineering in general. I will always remember John for his cheerful character and his way of lightening the engineering nature of many a team meeting. I remember spending time with John in conversation at social events over a glass of wine or two, and hearing great stories from his working career. I’m pleased John and I shared these moments whilst working at AtkinsRealis! There is no doubt John played a key role in the Building Service practice and will be missed – I never got to say it, goodbye John. God may your soul rest in peace!
