Always challenging, always trying new things. A gentle demeanour covered a steely refusal to accept convention and compromise. She demanded I step out of my comfort zone and continued to push me when I quailed. Because she believed in me. She introduced me to the utterly selfless concept of giving the gift of one’s time and knowledge; not being jealous that someone might steal your ideas. Because she had so many. Unfailingly loyal, charming and that huge glowing smile. I feel proud to have known her and to be able to remember her. My deepest condolences to her family. But you have the warm knowledge that she was so special to so many people. X
