David was extremely smart while being very humble and down to earth. He pushed the systems thinking approach for a long time and should always be recognised as a true pioneer. From my personal view, David was always enormously supportive to me in my career and I am forever thankful for his kind, thoughtful and constructive words and actions. A genuine really nice guy who quietly went about supporting everyone around him and improving our world.
